Disappointed
I was hopeful! The young lady that took my information when I called with the issue was knowledgeable, nice and extremely helpful. They had a loaner car for use!! Tri-City Auto called to inform of the progress and price along the way. However, the issue was never resolved. I took the car back and received a phone call mid-day that the mechanic was unable to duplicate my issue. My car is still not shifting gears right and the RPMs are still revving high when shifting. I was so hopeful after my intake call that I had found a mechanic/auto shop that I could trust, but no, that is not the case. I am beyond disappointed and frustrated that they do not believe what I am saying. I am out my repair fee since they replaced the parking brake sensor that the computer discovered as the issue but the car is still shifting hard, the original issue that made me look for a mechanic and I am still searching for a mechanic. :(
I have been a solid customer of Tri-City for almost 10 years. I think they do great work and have always been pleased with the customer service. I am unfortunately no longer going to patronize this establishment due to the prices they have been charging me. Tri-City was never the cheapest, which was fine with me because the quality of work was solid, but in the past couple of years, I have consistently been charged extremely high prices for the work performed. Again, good work, but it is no longer worth my money to spend 20%-40% more than a comparable establishment. I have this sense that they do everything by the book, which is fine, but sometimes, by the book basically means i'm getting reamed by the cost. I have never found fault with their work, but it is basically like going to the dealer at this point. They seem to charge me as much as I could be charged for everything. Time to go somewhere else...they might not be quite as friendly or convenient, but I'm willing take that hit to save what I consider to be $1000's of dollars a year.
